Before your session
Once you have decided you are interested in booking with Jamie Ball Photography we will schedule a consultation whether via in studio visit, telephone, or email. This is where you will get to meet me for the first time and we will go over the entire process of the JBP experience. We will cover designing your session, our studio policies, pricing, and getting an idea of what you would love as a final product from your session.
Upon scheduling, the booking fee for your chosen session will be due with your portrait agreement to make sure you are secure in my calendar. Sessions are not considered booked until both have been received. You will be sent an appointment reminder shortly before your session date. If you are a newborn client, we will schedule a tentative date on the calendar; however, the date may change depending on when your baby is born. It is important to contact the studio as soon as possible after baby is born so we can schedule baby prior to the 14 day mark.
During your session
During your session, you will be able to have fun and relax! Newborn sessions will typically last about 3 hours in studio (some longer, some shorter). Our milestone and cake smash sessions last 30 minutes to an hour. Some parents are worried about how their baby will react to their photo session, but no worries, I allow for plenty of time for your little one to warm up and feel comfortable before we even start. Once your session is completed, we will schedule a second appointment where you will come back to the studio to have your viewing and ordering appointment.
After your session
Approximately 2-3 weeks after your session, it will be time to come back to the studio for your viewing and ordering appointment. If it is going to be longer than 2-3 weeks you will be told this at your session (barring any emergencies). This is when you will see all of your beautiful images for the first time. Online proofing galleries are not available unless you PRE-PURCHASE a digital collection.
This is the time you will be placing and paying for your order, so it is best to have a budget figure in mind. If you are interested in wall art and/or groupings it is highly recommended to take measurements to bring with you. Once you arrive for your appointment, we will all sit down together and peruse your beautiful images. I will have tissues on hand if needed!
After your initial reveal we will begin the process of selecting your images and what you would like to do for each one. I will be there with you 100% to help guide you through the process and selection. We can create beautiful wall art groupings, storyboards, announcements, and albums at this time as well. You may even be able to take home images from your session the same day!
It is very important to have ALL decision makers present during this time. Once ordered there are no refunds or order changes. Orders are sent to lab as soon as payment is cleared. Payment is required at the ordering appointment. Payment plans are available on orders over $1500 (terms available in studio). For your convenience we accept cash, check, or major credit card.
Once your order is complete, you will be ready to proudly display the beautiful artwork you have invested in. JBP only offers professional products that will look stunning on your walls or displayed on your coffee table for many years to come. Your order will be ready within 2-6 weeks for delivery (depending on products ordered). Once delivered to the studio I carefully inspect each piece and package it up beautifully. Product delivery/pickup will feel like your birthday!!! Orders can be picked up in the studio at your convenience.
